Public sharing — Regression Test

Prerequisites

• A browser to open the public link as an outside viewer

Steps

1. Open a note and click Share in the note toolbar.
   • A "Public link" popover opens with a sharing toggle (off by default)
2. Turn the sharing toggle on.
   • The button state changes to "Shared"
   • A share link field and Copy Link / Copy Text / Email actions appear
3. Click Copy Link and open it in a browser (signed-out or incognito).
   • A "Link copied to clipboard" confirmation appears
   • The viewer sees the note read-only (content, and transcript/summary if present)
4. Click Email.
   • The OS email composer opens with a pre-filled subject and the link in the body
5. Turn the sharing toggle off, then reopen the public link in the browser.
   • The link no longer shows the note (access revoked)

Variation

6. Repeat steps 1–3 for a Document.
   • A document can be shared and viewed read-only the same way
