Documents — Regression Test

Steps

  1. Click New page in the sidebar, then click the new Untitled entry to open it.

    • An Untitled document is created in the sidebar
    • Clicking it opens the document with the editor ready
  2. Click the document icon button and pick an emoji.

    • The chosen emoji is set as the document icon
  3. Add some content, then favorite the document (star).

    • A Favorites section appears in the sidebar listing the document
  4. Hover the document in the sidebar and create a sub-document (+).

    • The sub-document appears nested under its parent
  5. Drag the sub-document to a different position in the tree.

    • The order updates and the move sticks
  6. Search for the document by part of its title.

    • The matching document is found; clicking the result navigates to it
  7. Archive the document, then open Trash and restore it.

    • Archiving moves it to Trash; it shows a 30-day auto-delete notice
    • Restoring returns it to the main tree
  8. Duplicate a document that contains an image:

    1. Paste or upload an image into the document and wait for it to render.
    2. Right-click that document in the sidebar and choose Duplicate.
    3. Archive the original and permanently delete it from Trash.
    4. Reload the app and open the copy.
    • The copy opened with the same title and content when it was created
    • After the original is gone and the app reloaded, the copy still shows the image — not a broken or blank image box

Variations

  1. Reload/restart the app and open the document from step 1 (not the duplicate).
    • Its title, icon, and nesting persist
  2. Permanently delete an archived document from Trash.
  • A confirmation warns it cannot be undone; after confirming it is gone
