Meeting detection & calendar — Regression Test

Prerequisites​

  • Google Calendar connected with at least one upcoming event that has a meeting link
  • For the detection check: a real video meeting app (Zoom / Meet / Teams) you can join

Steps​

  1. Open the Meeting tab and look at the Up Next section.
    • Upcoming meetings are listed, grouped by day (Today / Tomorrow / later)
    • Each event shows its title, time, and a Join button when a meeting link exists
  2. Click an upcoming event row.
    • A note opens (created for that event if one didn't exist) in the IDLE state
  3. Click Join on an event with a meeting link.
    • The meeting URL opens in your system browser
  4. Join a video meeting in Zoom/Meet/Teams and wait for detection.
    • A "Meeting detected" notification appears with the app name and a Take Note button
    • Clicking Take Note creates a note and starts recording

Calendar & notification settings​

  1. Open Settings → Meetings & Calendars and toggle Show events with only you off.
    • Solo events (no other attendees) disappear from Up Next
  2. In Tracked Calendars, uncheck one calendar.
    • Events from that calendar no longer appear in Up Next
  3. In the Notifications section, confirm the toggles exist and flip each.
    • Upcoming meeting reminder toggle is present and togglable
    • Meeting summary generated toggle is present and togglable

Variation​

  1. With Upcoming meeting reminder on, wait for an event starting within a few minutes (or use one).
    • A desktop reminder notification fires ahead of the meeting
