Note AI suggestions — Regression Test

Prerequisites​

  • A note that already has captured content — a transcript and/or summary from a recording. A brand-new empty note does not show Ask AI.
  • The note must not be actively recording — Ask AI is hidden while recording (it would overlap the recording controls). Pause/finish recording first.

Steps​

  1. Open a note with a transcript/summary (not recording) and click Ask AI (bottom-right of the note view).
    • A suggestion panel expands
    • An input with a "Message to …" placeholder is shown
  2. Type a question (e.g. "What were the action items?") and press Enter.
    • A response streams in, formatted as text
  3. Click Copy response on the answer.
    • The response is copied; pasting elsewhere shows the formatted text
  4. Click Good answer (thumbs up).
    • A "Thank you for your feedback" confirmation appears
  5. Close the panel with the X (or click Ask AI again).
    • The panel collapses

Variations​

  1. Ask a question that produces a long answer.
    • The response area scrolls and remains readable
  2. (Free tier only) Reach the monthly AI suggestion limit. To get there fast in a non-prod build, open Settings → QA: under QA Entitlements set the plan to Free and click Apply, then under Seed usage near limit pick Note AI suggestions and click Set count to limit - 2 — this seeds your usage to two below the cap, so a couple more Ask AI questions trip the limit. (The cap only enforces when QA Entitlements shows enforcement=true — it is gated per environment, so a local dev backend may have it off.)
    • A limit-reached message appears and the input is disabled
    • An upgrade prompt is shown
